Well hello, fellow Adventurers!
I wanted to check in and give you guys a couple bits of exciting news. Firstly, the game is 100% completed. That is correct, it is DONE! I know a lot of you got a chance to play the early access Beta, and all your bug findings and feedback were incredibly helpful - so thank you! I took on every suggestion that I could which has really helped to shape the final game and turned it's awesomeness up another notch. So, thank you!
What's that I hear you cry? If it's done then why don't we have it in our hands? Well, we are currently just finalising everything for the various platforms the game will be coming out on. This is a new process for us, so its hard to say how long it will take, but what that means is that the finish line is really in sight now. So thank you for sticking with us! We've truly put our hearts and souls into this game and I'm so excited that we will be able to get it to you all very soon!
Nintendo Switch
For those of you who are lucky enough to own a Nintendo Switch, we have good news- the game is coming to that platform as well! We are extremely fortunate to be able to get on this console so early and grateful to Nintendo for letting us bring our game to the Switch.
A lot of people have asked if they could trade their Steam key pledge for a console key, and the honest answer at this point is 'we don't know'. It's all new to us, but if it can be done we will make it happen. If it can't then we are very sorry.
The 'Pals are confirmed for Nintendo Switch
PSX and PS4
Just before Christmas the game was selected to be a part of PSX (The Playstation Experience) - an annual event hosted by Sony in which they show off a select number of games coming to the PS4. We were blown away to be a part of it, and the reception was fantastic! Here is a great video from Playstation Access showing some gameplay footage!

Once Upon a Coma
And now for something a little special. Our good friend Thomas Brush just launched his previous Kickstarter funded game 'Pinstripe' on Xbox, and now he is back with a new project. It looks amazing, and he wants to offer a free game to Adventure Pals backers who support his new Kickstarter campaign.

Got an exciting update for you guys today!
We're coming to PlayStation 4!
Great news, we can finally confirm that The Adventure Pals is coming to the Playstation 4! It's been in the pipeline for a while and it's been so difficult not to say anything, but we are finally allowed to. Woohoo! PS4 here we come.

Most importantly, we've been feeling for a while that we needed a better way to communicate with you. KS announcements are cool but aren't ideal ways to have a discussion. I know that some are getting frustrated with the length of the game is taking, but if we get a chance to chat directly you'll be able to see just how much love, sweat and tears we are pouring in to this project....So we've started a Discord!
We'd love for you to hop in and join the conversation. After all YOU made this game happen! We have a special channel for KS backers, so when you sign up DM us and we can add you to that channel. Look forward to speaking with you there!
We also recently won "Best Character Design" In the Intel Level Up Competition 2017. This is a huge honour you can see the kind folk at Intel announcing and playing the game below.

Making the arenas fun! Previously it was just a stream of normal enemies, but now we have more variety and simpler arenas. We found that complicated arena levels took away from the combat. So we've refocused on the butt kicking!

Hey Pals!
We're pleased to announce a brand new trailer for the Adventure Pals! With new content, voice acting & animated sequence. We'd love to know what you think!
We worked with Trailer Squad to help bring the trailer into reality and worked closely with them to help emphasise all the giraffe goodness. Below is a little snippet of the intro animated sequence I worked on with fellow Massive Monster Jimp. I started off by creating a very rough sequence introducing the pals one by one & bringing them together. Jimp took this to create an 'animatic' of similar inspiration from which I went over it & included some frame by frame goodness.
We're looking forward to sharing some more exciting news soon - there are some things we are very excited about but aren't able to share just yet! - Along with a more detailed schedule & plan for the game. But until then we continue to work hard on The Adventure Pals every day and I hope you can remain patient with us as we polish this gem of a game. :)
We've been focusing on fixing the game breaking bugs, balancing level design, levelling up and abilities as we complete reworking all the levels with the new enemies and mechanics we described in our previous two updates. We are keen to get The Adventure Pals to the point where we can open up the Beta to our Beta backers, we aren't there yet but will let you know as soon as we are.
We've been listening to you guys and so have deliberately not done many more events so that we can stay focused on getting the game to the finish line.
