Surveys sent out!

We had one final event for the Adventure Pals - showing it at Pax Australia this weekend as part of the Indie Megabooth! But now that is over you should now have received your backer survey. Thank you again for bearing with us. 

Please take a few seconds to fill out the survey and let us know any deets we might need, including your latest shipping address. Oh! And good news, if you liked the look of that sweet giraffe hat, or fancy t-shirt you can now pick those up using the survey. Sorry we weren't able to offer a pick-and-choose menu during the campaign, but it wasn't clear whether we'd have enough of everything, now with final numbers we can offer this.

 So whats been up?

We've been very busy working on the game and made some great progress! We've introduced a bunch of new mechanics (such as dropping your back pack with a third of your gold upon dying - which you must then attempt to collect or lose forever, we also made chests cost coins to open, etc), implemented the final quests for the moon area, fixed a mountain of bugs and have gotten started on the mini games! See some of the art from one of them below:

We are now looking to finish up soon and so we can progress with the console certification process. This is new territory for us so is still a bit of an unknown. Needless to say, it is very exciting! 

Moon town name

We'd also like to announce the winner of our 'choose the Moon's town name'. Congratulations to Lisa Burns who suggested 'Lunacropolis'. We love the way it captures the ghostly atmosphere of that mysterious space rock we call the moon. Thank you Lisa!

Help!

The combat in Adventure Pals needs a bit of an overhaul. Right now its very button-mashing and doesn't really have any skill to it. It's easy to just hammer away at an enemy until 'puff!' they explode in to a cloud of smoke, leaving nothing but bones. We know we can do better! 

We want your suggestions, what are cool fighting games you've played before? How would you imagine a great combat system to work in a game like The Adventure Pals? Please -  let us know your thoughts, we are keen to get a discussion going so we can get your input on how to make the game as great as it can be.

Summer exhibition update + survey coming this week!

Hey Pals!!!

Sorry for the lack of updates recently, we've had a very busy few months showing The Adventure Pals all over the place at lots of different exhibitions and shows! Its been amazing watching so many people play and enjoy the game. We even got a chance to hang out with some of our backers from here on Kickstarter that helped fund the project - it was so great to meet you all!

We've had quite a few messages asking about when the surveys for backers will be sent out - dont worry we havent forgotten about you! We'll be sending out surveys later this week to collect all the information we need regarding your rewards, so keep a look out for that.

Insomnia

We were given the opportunity to show both The Adventure Pals and our other game Never Give Up at Insomnia 58 in Birmingham this August! It was great fun and had a lot of people enjoying both the games. Hopefully we'll be back for the next Insomnia!

Legends of Gaming

We were also asked to show The Adventure Pals at Legends of Gaming in London! DanTDM was at the event so we had lots of his fans that recognised The Adventure Pals from his demo playthrough he did a few weeks before! We had a great time and made lots of new adventure pals!

TGS

Julian took The Adventure Pals to Tokyo Game Show the following weekend where it got a fantastic response. It was amazing to be showing one of our games in a new country where none of us have ever been, and see people enjoy game so much!

EGX

Last show of the summer for us was EGX, which is a big game expo in Birmingham UK. It was a crazy weekend and we had lots and lots of people giving feedback and enjoying the game, met lots of other great developers and generally had an absolute blast!

 We made a short video showing some of the fun we had at EGX, check it out below!

Campaign Complete & What Now?

Adventure Complete!

Whoo thanks all so much, We've reached our funding goal & the end of the campaign! Which is an amazing feet. We're truly in awe at your amazing people :') 

This is just to let you know that we'll be sending out survey information soon to make sure we have your information when we're ready to send out our physical rewards. 

What's next:

Here's a rough look at what's next for us, in no particular order!

• Complete The Game!
• Polish the heck out of it.
• Get survey information from you lovely folk 
• Fix up demo issues. ( Specifically vanishing player )
• Show off the game, including Tokyo Game Show, PAX Australia, EGX. 
• Get the game working for console
• Send out our physical rewards
• Publish game!

We'll make sure to update you along the way of our journey to completion!

100% FUNDED, Stretch Goals & Mystery Chest #2

 Woweee!! Thanks so much :') 

It means so much to us that we've reached our funding goal, The campaign was in a questionable state for a while so it's a big relief we've made it. Especially BIG thank you to all those who help share the campaign, without you guys we wouldn't have made it.
In other news, Jay has also just got married in Italy! This has meant we haven't been able to fix some issues with the demo, but once his back we'll be straight into it. 

We can't wait to get back into the development of the game and show off all new content with you.But for now, we have some extra goals for some extra goodies.

You've done an amazing job at getting to our funding goal, the next goal in mind is a level editor for the game, it would allow users to create and share their own levels. We're also currently only 2k off it! It's definitely doable. 

Mystery Chest #2

For this mystery chest the goal was 600 backers, Which you guys smashed through! Great work! 

The reward of this chest is a Starter Pack, Which will come along with some handy items to start your adventure off with including a special mystery Item!
